I am in the same boat. My 1st paper file was rejected the same reasons (incorrect fee and no I485 notice.)
so I efiled right away after i got the returned package on june 24. I received the notice a week later dated June 24. Since then, no news... no updated.
Since that people who filed the 1st week of June had already got their renewal notices or physical cards.......
mine current exp on Aug 14... so far I only have 2 weeks....
will I get anything within 2 weeks??????
Anyone out here file around June 24 at TSC and got any news???????

All you need is the job title and the duties for AC21. At the time when we filed your labor application, we did not use SOC code. The code was assigned by State Wage Unit when they determined the prevailing wage. They did not care what the job title was. Rather, they determined it based on the acceptable field of study to maximize the salary required. Consequently, it often did not match with the job title on the application.
Like I mentioned above, the occ code as assigned by SESA may not match the job description on the application. It is the risk you will take if you followed the occ code to find your job title and/or skills.

Except july fiasco , i don't see dates ever moving forward in july vb; but they do move in august vb.
Has anything changed in spillover laws in last 1 year - which will explain this no movement in july but in august?

I applied for H1B extension in October 2006 as my H1B was about to expire in December. After five months of applying, got an RFE in February 2007 . My employer replied to the query in Mid March 2007. My employer was reluctant to do a premium processing when he replied the query, saying that he doesn't want to take any risk. CSC transfered my case to Seattle, WA field office ( the field office is no where near my employers physical location, not even close to where I live) on April 4th. I guessed that its because of new H1 petitions filed in April. Its been more than 3 months and no action taken on my petition. We tried to convert into premium processing, but the field office rejected it saying they don't accept premium processing in their jurisdiction. So nothing else to do but to wait wait wait. Total time passed since my initial petition in October ( 9 months).
My license has expired in March and the DMV do not renew my license with out a new I-94. Really its been a hell with out DL and still depending on others for necessary needs.
I am tired of telling the story to every one. Why not one more time here. I want to find out what other steps I can take to expedite the H1 Petition. Is there any way around to get the license renewed. Please share your experiences and suggestions.

Though she took time to see where it is. She told me that I have to wait wait wait. This is really pissing me off, without a driving license for the last 4 months, passport expiring soon, Wife's H1 petition Query ( as her H4 renewal is in hold due to my H1B RFE). Guys please post some ideas on how to deal with this situation. I even opened a service request about my case. But no progress. what should be my next course of action to move the case.
Any valuable suggestions would be appreciated.

I saw some of your suggestions in this thread. I need your suggestion on my case. I applied my 485 in July 2007 with an already approved eb3 I-140 (PD: May 2004). At that time, my 2nd EB2 I-140 was also in process but since I was not sure so I applied 485 with eb3 I-140. Later, I received my eb2 I -140 approved with the same PD of May 2004. Thus , I was able to capture my original PD (most difficult task!!). Since then, I and my lawyer have been sending letters to USCIS to interfile my eb2 140 with pending 485. We have not heard anything back from USCIS so far. I had opened congressional enquiry also and they also could not get answer from USCIS. But, congressman office told me that USCIS indicated that they will take most favorable 140 while adjudicating my case. They also suggested me to talk to them again when my pd is current based on eb2. Can u suggest as to what else can be done in this case? I appreciate your answer in this regard. A few question related to the database:
1) Is the received date the same as the date the labor was filed (in other words, the priority date)
2) The 2005 and after database structure does not have employee name, and there are multiple records found on "prioirty" date, is there any other field that can be verified from other documents like the case number etc? How to nail down to exact record for me?
3) Is the SOC code the same as what we should be looking for "same or similar" job?
4) Assuming answer to above Q is yes, from where can we find detailed job duties for these codes?

If you open the Access db (You need to have MS Access to view these files.If you dont have it, downlaod the free trail version from microsoft.com)
If you open the file, it is the database of all the Labors that are filed in that year.One of the attribute is the Employee name.You can also search on Attorney name.

So I figured BB and IV did not fell out. I for one have great regard for BB and will any day trust his/her analysis.

I am little confused here, do they take into account the reciept date or Notice Date ?.
My Application was sent on July 2, and ack on July2, however the application got transferred to Nebrska, CA and back to Nebraska, and I am told the Notice Date is Aug 30. (If I go to Online website it says On Aug 30 we recd your appln like that) But I am July 2 filer.
So if I want to move, should I think i am safe after 180 days which is jan 3 or is it March ?

If employer revokes 140 then no basis for getting h-1b extensions.
Agreed........but if you will have to go to appeals if your case is legit to be reopened/reconsidered and be approved...........for any other reason if at all its not goona be approved........you cant get any visa for USA.........hence this low probablity case will be for those who are in good standing in terms of immigration else - go back to the home country..........

Is it safe to do?
I do maintain good relationship with current employer.
But not sure, what will be his reaction after three vacation notice ends and he comes to know I have switched job.
Also my LC as Programmer Analyst, but the new job would be Database Administrator.
Is this will be issue?
