Pai has perfected the art of creating beautifully minimalistic and eco-conscious products that are still stylish. When I got into the "green beauty" trend years ago, one thing that I found particularly sorrowful was often the design (or lack of design) with the appearance of the products ... Just because - I might want to save trees/ have a world where everyone has access to clean water, and are not at the threat of imminent death because their political "leaders" decided to have a fit between their prams, etc. - it does not mean - I want to accept slovenly and quite frankly unattractive designs. This is coming from someone who actually has "goofy" taste in clothing and spent her teenage years breathing in visions of Joe Browns' clothing and Irregular Choice shoes. Now, whilst I have somewhat outgrown my need for sparkly 3D cats and cupcakes on my shoes - I still like a slice of style with my self-congratulating eco-conscious pie, and thankfully Pai delivers.

Pai's packaging is frankly beautiful. The semi-frosted bottle paired with an attractively mulled orange elixir is enticing for even the most seasoned rosehip using veteran *tilts hat*. The design is as simple as it is stylish, from the top of its white dropper to the bottom of its mid-weight glass body - Pai oozes the new effortless and chic "conscious beauty" aesthetic.
Okay, so what about the actual product? Ya know the oil inside? ... Alright-alright (who let the Gestapo in?) ... Well, thankfully this oil isn't only pretty it works beautifully too. The texture is a myriad of magical oxymorons - light but nourishingly heavy, an oil but without a greasy shine (when used on dry skin - although it's recommended to be used on damp skin). It doesn't feel weighty on my skin and I can feel happy applying it over serums/toners and just cleansed skin.
Okay okay, what about the scent? ... Ah, I'm glad you asked. This oil has a distinctive scent that smells like a mix of earthy spices. Most notably turmeric but judging by the ingredients (at the end of this post) it's probably just the pure concentration of rosehip oil that gives off this scent because "Tumeric" isn't on the list. Why do you think it smells like turmeric? ... Well, lets say I became acquainted with the scent after attempting to do Tumeric DIY face masks (see below).
How did that go? ... Well, the process was messy - it certainly brightened my skin (stained it yellow) but, in the name of clearing blemishes I'd be willing to try it again someday ... In the meantime, Pai Rosehip oil delivers what the Tumeric mask was DIY'd to do and then some. Not only does nourishes my skin, but it's also said to help reduce dark spots/pigmentation and - it won't scare post workers, little children, or small animals. So, for now, I'm sticking to this oil as my main multitasker.

... Overall, Pai's Rosehip oil is a beautiful product that I definitely enjoy reaching for on evenings and mornings when I'm either too tired to perform an elaborate routine or when I'm following it to a T. It's not the cheapest oil around *coughs* £24 but, I really like it. I find it soothingly luxurious in both the texture and its style.
