Palgantong Kamayaki Cheek in [Passion Orange] (#03)

I wanted to break my train of posts on cosmetics with a skincare post today, but I can't because I just realise that there's nothing much to say about what I am using now, because I haven't seen much of a change to make a verdict on my new routine and products.

I am feeling the effects and I really love what I am doing for my skin right now, so I am very excited to share with you, but there is no visible evidence that I can post. It's been two weeks since I started on this routine, and yes, I need a bit more time and patience to make a great post.

That said, I am actually ready for a couple of other more instant things, and that has to be cosmetics again.

So here goes,
Palgantong Kamayaki Cheek in [Passion Orange] (#03)

Available: Takashimaya Deparmental Store, Gift Section, Basement 1, $28.80 (I haven't seen it in Sasa.)

Volume: 10g

Star Properties: Baked for 24 hours in Terra Cotta Pans, to retain moisture. Duo blushed with marbleized shade and mono-shade, to be worn mixed or separately, for a sheer and radiant tone.

Ingredients: As in photo below.

Why I Bought It
Don't you think it looks so much like a M.A.C baked blush? haha, it really caught my eye, and even though I didn't enjoy the experience with the famous Palgantong Theatrical Powder, I just had to get it to try, despite the price!

Pigmentation
Strangely, this one that I got is not very pigmented. I tried swatching it on the back of my hand, but it wouldn't show enough to appear properly in any photos no matter I swished and swashed and tried to build it up.

I actually decided on the spot to buy it because the tester that I swatched was extremely pigmented, and show up really well that I was convinced there and then that this is a potential M.A.C dupe, and so will be worth the price.

I was so afraid it is never going to show up on my face, especially since I am using a new method to put on blusher today. But hey, it did, and it turned up really well too! =DDD

Looks
I am so, so, so over the moon that the blush not only turned up smooth, but most importantly, it is exactly the same colour as seen in the pan!! So LOVELY.

This photo below shows the mono-shade, which they name Passion Orange.

And this next one shows what the marbleized side looks like. Basically, there is glitter, and it creates a luminous effect that is great for creating a younger, plumper, and more dewy skin. I realise I like the luminous effect a lot, LOL.

I placed the luminous shade halfway over the mono-shade, so you can see that there is still orange at the bottom of the apple of my cheeks, but fades into a more pinkish shade, and it is blended up towards my ears.

Long-lasting
This blush really lasted me through a good 12 hours!

Cost
Unfortunately, the cost of this is on the high side, as I can buy my trusty Dr. Jart BB Cream, which is considered a foundation, if I just top up a handful more dollars to the price of this.

I'd say, no need to rush for this if one is still in the stage of discovering good colours for oneself. This is not for colour-testing, it is more for when you know which colour is definitely going to look good on you, and you can just zoom in on one shade, and invest on this as a long-term everyday blush, just like a M.A.C.

The Other Colours
I was in a bit of rush and didn't stop to take pictures of the other shades in store, and make swatches for you, but I just did an online search, and surprisingly, or perhaps, not such a big surprise, there are other people out there who thinks this is so M.A.C!

You can see #01 Honeymoon Pink, and #02 Mystery Purple here,
and #04 Caupaccino here.

haha, I realise it is just nice that I choose Passion Orange, because that was all I found on the first page of Google search.

I love it: 5/5
Guess what, instead of leaving this in my long-term storage drawer, I actually placed in my dresser drawer, together with my essential makeup pouch and standard brushes! And I did it so automatically, it is only now that I want to reach for it at my computer desk that I find out it in the dresser.

I just somehow sense that this is going to be a colour I use after I hit pan on Sugarbomb (can't believe that's going low because the box looks so full of powder initially).
