To be honest i wanted not to like these products because i thought they wouldn't be that good because they were created by a Blogger ( i should have learnt from the Real Technique brushes) but i was very pleasantly surprised. Obviously i first heard about these lipglosses because i watch Tanya Burr on Youtube.I didn't rush to buy them when they were first sold only online and i didn't rush to Superdrug when they were first available but when i was in their about a month ago i saw them and i picked up First Date, the paler pink of the two colours. The packaging is super cute with a little heart on top of the lid but when i first opened it i was put off by the strawberry scent. I hate strawberry flavoured and scented products so initially i wasn't sure. However when i put it on it was exactly what i wanted from a lipgloss, a beautiful pale pink colour, creamy, not sticky and perfect for a smoky eye. I love it so i went back to superdrug with the intention of getting another one. The first time i went i wanted to get Picnic in the Park as i had heard a lot about it online as it seemed to be everyone's favourite but they didn't have it but First Date stood out for me. So i went back and they had it and to be honest i was disappointed. Before you get offended give me time to explain. I had heard so much about it and it had been quite hyped up within the range and i don't think the colour is anything special, yes it is opaque for a lipgloss and yes it is nice but to be honest it wasn't what i was expecting i though it was going to be the most beautiful shade ever but i think yeah it is nice but i prefer First Date. For me Picnic in the Park just looks average, maybe it is just on me or maybe i just like a lipgloss which looks like it is there but i was disappointed. I will still wear it but meh, sorry Tanya. I think i had just made it better in my head, don't ask me how.
As i said before i love the packaging and i love that the heart on top of the tubes are different for the different colours, or is that just my two glosses? I would definitely buy more of the glosses and i actually have my eye on the colour Exotic Island as i have seen a few pictures of people wearing it and it looks lovely. There is such an amazing shade range so there is something for everyone but my only advice would be to go for the shade that stands out to you and not go with what everyone says online like I did. Overall i love the products, the formula is amazing, the colours are good and at £6.99 they are a great price they just need to be available in all Superdrug stores now rather an a limited amount, come on Superdrug sort it out.
I haven't tried any of the Tanya Burr nail polish range yet so my question is would you recommend them?i do have my eye on a few shades so let me know if I should give them a go. Also post a link below of any reviews or posts you have done on the lipgloss or nail varnish as I would like to read them.
