Play testing time

This Friday I'll be doing some play testing with WhiteDevil and WC_Marc from the Wrecking Crew forums. We've been trying a lot of Grey Knight lists the last 4 or 5 months. I think we know how the codex works so it's time for a change. While I don't particularly fear the Venom spam that has become so popular it is a great thing to test against. Even if you have a good match up against it you could still tie or even lose in objective heavy missions due to the Flickerfields and tons of fast skimmers doing late game objective grabs. So it's time to get some games in playing the list and playing against the list. One of the hall marks of our play testing process is getting to know the list by playing it as well as against it. There is much to learn about a list by being in command of it. It's also fun to play as the Villian because even though you are trying your best to win you still are rooting for it to lose.

We're getting ready for Nova so we'll be using the Nova primer missions and terrain recommendations. Hopefully 10-15 games over the next 5 weeks will have us ready to rumble and quick on our feet at the Nova. It's sure to be epic and I'd love to squeak into the top 16 by going 4-0. Luckily the first day will handicap the players into 16 brackets so no matter how I do day 1 it will be interesting to see if I can go 4-0 against my newly ranked peers on day 2.
